Resources
There are 3 billion links that could be under resources. Competitive Melee has been around for 20 years, and over that time, much digital ink has been spilled in it's name. This page will be a repository for links deemed useful for Melee players.
Everything on this page is also in the Melee Library, along with several hundred other useful links. Linked below are things that have been deemed "essential", but there's no better resource for a comprehensive list of everything there is to know about Melee than the Melee Library. Feel free to ctrl+F your way through it, or just check out this page for a very condensed list.
Technical Resources
Mew2King's Frame Data - One of the most colossal undertakings by any person in Melee history. M2K used pausing the game to generate extremely accurate frame data in 2003. Arguably the basis of the entire competitive scene.
Character Hitboxes and Frame Data - As incredible as M2K's frame data is, this is much more palatable to search through and includes gif examples of each move.
ikneedata Melee Calculator - Schmooblidon created this website to visualize attack interactions in Melee. Extremely useful to settle the discussion of "why didn't that kill?"
Mod Resources
Wii Modding Guide - Self-explanatory. Using an original disk is great, but the easiest way to put together a setup is to follow this guide. It's recommended that you use Letterbomb, as you'll need an SD card to run Melee anyway. Don't forget to install Priiloader and set your modded Wii to boot to the Homebrew Channel!
Unclepunch Training Mod - All you'll ever need to improve at Melee. Allows you to control your practice at a microscopic level, and also allows importing and exporting save states for practice. Make sure you check out Unclepunch's Patreon as well for the newest builds.
20XX Hack Pack - By Achilles, one of the most legendary Melee modders around. Has been slightly outdated because of the Unclepunch Training Mod, but still an incredibly in-depth mod with a monumental amount of utility.
Multi-Mod Launcher - If your setup is a traditional Gamecube with a disk, this is the easiest way to turn it into a fully tournament legal setup. This also requires a Wii, but many TOs have memory cards with it already installed, so if you ask them, they'll copy it from their memory card to yours.
Community Resources
Liquipedia - A very well kept resource of past tournament information and player wiki pages.
SSBWiki - Wikipedia but for Smash. Has everything that Liquipedia has, in addition to pages about advanced tech and data.
Melee Global Power Ranking 2022 - The most recent global Melee power ranking.
The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100 - An attempt at ranking the best Melee players of all time, considering everying from 2004 to 2021. Lots of nice little history lessons in here. (Non-Panda Link)
Smashdata.gg - A resource with virtually every set every Melee player has ever played. Extremely useful for seeding or arguing about stats.
